May 18, 2010: Pretty Little Lunatic & FNL
The Atomic Brother digital Ep, 'Pretty Little Lunatic' will be released on Tuesday May 25, 2010 through our Bandcamp powered online portal at http://music.atomicbrother.com with release on iTunes and other digital outlets following in subsequent weeks. Recorded in 5 cities in 3 countries, Pretty Little Lunatic features 5 new songs, 3 studio tracks and 2 live acoustic tracks and is the second in a series of EPs we'll be releasing this year. The price will vary at each store, but at http://music.atomicbrother.com you can name your price or get it fo free. Of course, we'd love for you to show us some love for all our hard work!

In other news, in last week I was cast as an extra in the TV series Friday Night Lights. For the most part it was a background part, but there was one scene where I got some good camera time, IF it doesn't hit the editing room floor. This was episode 5 for season 5, which will air next summer.

Mar 9, 2010: More Studio Updates

It's been a busy few months. I wrapped up recording bass for Freedom, made another trip back to New york to record guitar and vocal tracks for another Atomic Brother Ep, and have since been recording bass, editing and mixing 3 different Atomic Brother Eps. Oh yeah, I've also started an #UntitledProj with Michael Carrasquillo.

The Freedom album is finished and a release date is still to be announced. There are 10 tracks on the album, 9 of which I played bass on. You can check out the album free before the release at the Freedom website. This is a cool record, and a little bit different from albums I typically play on.

The second and third of 4 Atomic Brother Eps are being mixed this week. We're back in studio with Craig Sadler mixing at 5th Street Studios in Austin, TX. After the mixes are done we'll be recording some live acoustic tracks to include, just like last time. We expect the second Ep to be titled, "As Far As I Can Go," and to be released some time in April.

The #UntitledProj is a going to be a fun songwriting project with Michael Carrasquillo. This is an experiment in co-writing and co-producing songs long distance. One of us will start a song, and we'll pass it back and forth until it is "finished." When is that? We'll know when we hear it. Michael's been a long-time friend and collaborator of mine and this is the first time we're doing something like this.
